toshiba tablets 300x219 Toshiba releasing Tablet PCs for Windows 7, Android and ChromeJapanese electronics maker Toshiba is going to present three new tablet PCs running on three major mobile operating systems during the upcoming CES 2011 in Los Angeles in early 2011. They will be assembled by its partners –ODM’s Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics and Pegatron Technology. Mass production of devices will begin in the first half of 2011, informs Engadget .

t is interesting that Toshiba will provide the tablets for Windows 7, Android OS, Chrome OS, that is they will have the complete range (except MeeGo), showing the capabilities of today’s open mobile platforms. It has been reported that the two models will have 10.1-inch screens, and one tablet will have 11.6 inch display. Toshiba will promote these devices with its line of laptops.
Parallel to this, the manufacturer is going to release more than one tablet at a lower resolution screen, presumably to 7 inches. They will be positioned as a smartphone, reports DigiTimes .
